The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced the addition of Jared Hankinson to its governmental affairs team. Hankinson will take on the role of director of legislative affairs, where he will advocate for Missouri employers concerning legislative, regulatory, and judicial matters.

Hankinson previously served in Governor Mike Parson’s office as deputy policy and legislative director. His responsibilities included reviewing legislation and regulations, providing detailed analysis, and offering recommendations to the governor. He also contributed to statewide campaigns by managing a regional field office in the St. Louis metro area during Gov. Parson’s reelection campaign.

Kara Corches, president and CEO of the Missouri Chamber, expressed enthusiasm about Hankinson’s appointment: “We are excited to welcome Jared to our team. He has strong experience at the State Capitol that will serve our members well as we work to make sure employers’ voices are heard.”

Hankinson holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and communication studies with a minor in Spanish from Monmouth College.

He can be contacted at jhankinson@mochamber.com or 573-634-3511.
