Missouri baseball announced on April 16 that it will host “CoMo Day” at Taylor Stadium on April 21, inviting the Columbia community to attend the game against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with free admission. The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Central Time.

The initiative aims to strengthen ties between the university and local residents by offering a family-friendly environment and special activities during the game. The first 200 fans will receive a giveaway t-shirt, and the Tigers will wear new alternate jerseys inspired by Columbia’s iconic landmark, The Columns.

Head coach Kerrick Jackson said, “What makes Mizzou a special place is that the university is at the center of the community. It was important as a program to recognize where the majority of our support comes from. We are truly excited for CoMo day at Taylor Stadium.”

The evening will feature Columbia native and NASCAR Hall of Famer Carl Edwards throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, while John Warner Middle School students perform the national anthem. Several local organizations will be present throughout the game to engage with attendees.

The matchup will be nationally televised on SEC Network, and audio coverage is available through The Varsity Network app with Tex Little providing play-by-play commentary alongside Matt Michaels.

Organizers hope that CoMo Day encourages more members of all ages in Columbia to experience Missouri baseball firsthand.
