The University of Central Missouri Jennies Golf team earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Central Regional Championship, according to an April 26 announcement by the NCAA. The event will take place May 4-6 at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.

This marks the tenth straight year that the Jennies have qualified for postseason play in NCAA Division II women’s golf. The Central Region includes teams from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, and Great American Conference.

A total of eighteen teams and six individuals from these conferences will compete in the regional championship. The Jennies are one of nine MIAA programs selected for this event, joining Rogers State, Washburn, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Central Oklahoma, Nebraska Kearney, Northwest Missouri, Missouri Western State University, and Missouri Southern.

During this season, Central Missouri participated in ten events with four wins and eight top-10 finishes. Several team members received postseason conference honors including senior Mia Rallo being named MIAA Player of the Year and four athletes earning All-MIAA recognition.

The top four teams from both central and south regions as well as five each from east and west regions will advance to the NCAA-II Women’s Golf Championships along with two individuals not on advancing teams. The national championships are scheduled for May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
