Global design firm HOK has signed a lease for a new, larger space in Peabody Plaza, reinforcing its commitment to Downtown St. Louis. Eli Hoisington, co-CEO and design principal for HOK’s St. Louis studio, stated, “We have contributed to the fabric of Downtown St. Louis since our founding in 1955 and look forward to continuing to do so from our new location.” He added that the new location would serve as a “dynamic and creative workplace” for staff and a “welcoming hub” for clients and collaborators.

Earlier this year, HOK announced plans to maintain its presence in Downtown St. Louis with its 170 local staff members once its current lease expires in August 2025. The firm will expand by 3,000 square feet from their current space to support ongoing growth.

Kurt Weigle, Chief Downtown Officer of Greater St. Louis, Inc., commented on the expansion’s significance: “HOK’s expansion adds to the momentum building Downtown.” He noted several initiatives contributing to the area’s vibrancy and safety, such as the transformation of 7th Street and the newly launched public safety ambassador program.

Founded in St. Louis in 1955, HOK now operates offices worldwide.
