Jason Hall, CEO of Greater St. Louis, Inc., recently articulated the organization’s support for Wesley Bell in an opinion column published in the St. Louis Business Journal. Hall urged voters to participate in the upcoming primary election on August 6 and the general election in November.

Greater St. Louis Inc., which unites business and civic leaders to foster job creation and inclusive economic growth, has decided to endorse candidates who prioritize economic development. The organization has now endorsed Wesley Bell in the Democratic primary for U.S. representative from Missouri’s First Congressional District.

“The outcome of these races will have a tremendous impact on the future of St. Louis and Missouri for the next decade and beyond,” Hall stated, emphasizing the significance of both the gubernatorial race and the First Congressional District election.

The First Congressional District encompasses downtown St. Louis, several educational and cultural institutions, as well as key assets like the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s western headquarters. According to Hall, this district requires a leader capable of securing essential resources and fostering growth.

“We believe that leader is Wesley Bell,” Hall declared.

Hall highlighted Bell’s commitment to building strong relationships and restoring common sense in Congress. He noted that Bell would advocate for federal resources necessary to address pressing community challenges and support major infrastructure projects such as the transformation of St. Louis Lambert International Airport, the MetroLink Green Line expansion, and construction of the Brickline Greenway.

“Bell understands that infrastructure must be a top priority,” Hall remarked.

Additionally, Hall pointed out Bell’s dedication to making downtown St. Louis safe and vibrant by revitalizing vacant buildings, improving streets and sidewalks, and ensuring public safety.

“In business and public service, relationships are key to success,” Hall said, praising Bell’s ability to build coalitions across diverse groups.

While acknowledging potential disagreements on various issues with Bell’s progressive stance, Hall emphasized that Bell would listen to constituents’ concerns and represent their voices effectively in Washington D.C.

“For that reason,” concluded Hall, “we encourage primary voters to support Wesley Bell for Missouri’s First Congressional District on Aug. 6.”
