University of Missouri-St. Louis pitcher Dustin Hagens was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference’s Pitcher of the Week, according to an April 20 announcement from the league office.

The award recognizes Hagens’ performance in a series against Indianapolis, where he pitched 6.2 shutout innings over two appearances. He helped secure two extra-inning victories for the Tritons, earning wins in both outings and improving his season record to 3-1.

Hagens allowed only two hits and one walk across his appearances, posting a strikeout rate of 14.8 per nine innings with a total of eleven strikeouts. This is his first time receiving the Pitcher of the Week honor.

In his first game, Hagens escaped a sixth-inning jam with runners on base before finishing with 4.2 scoreless frames. In the final game of the series, he threw two perfect innings that contributed to another extra-inning win for Missouri-St. Louis.

The last Tritons player to receive this award was Eli Cartwright on March 30, 2026. The team will play again on Wednesday, April 22 against Division I Lindenwood at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles.
