University of Central Missouri Mules Golf players CJ Phillips and Brooks Baldwin were both named to the 2025-26 All-MIAA Men’s Golf Team, according to an April 20 announcement by the conference office.
The recognition highlights the achievements of two key athletes on the Mules team during the regular season. Their selection places them among a group of standout collegiate golfers in their conference.
Phillips, a junior from Edmond, Oklahoma, earned All-MIAA honors for the second time in his career. He posted a stroke average of 72.27 over 26 rounds during the regular season and finished in the top ten seven times out of nine tournaments. Phillips also won two events: “the Missouri Western State University Holiday Inn Express Classic Oct. 6-7 and The Tulsa Cup Oct. 27-28 in Broken Arrow, Okla.” Baldwin, a redshirt senior from Warrensburg, received his first All-MIAA accolade after recording a stroke average of 74.44 across 18 rounds. He had two top-five finishes: fourth at the Arkansas Collegiate March 23-24 in El Dorado, Arkansas, and fifth at the Tommy Riggs Collegiate Invitational March 30-31 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
According to Mules Golf records, Phillips and Baldwin are now recognized as the program’s 101st and 102nd All-MIAA honorees under Head Coach Tim Poe’s leadership spanning thirty-five seasons.
The Mules are scheduled to compete next at the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Super Regional from May 7-9 at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Michigan.
Other postseason honors announced by MIAA include Nicholas Canales (Central Oklahoma) as Golfer of the Year; Jacob Fratzel (Washburn) as Freshman of the Year; and Derrick Thompson (Central Oklahoma) as Coach of the Year.
