St. Louis residents can look forward to the return of the ultimate block party as City Social makes its way back to Downtown on May 17. The event promises an evening of live music, food, and community engagement on Washington Avenue, as reported by the event organizers.

Niddy Gritty, Executive Producer of HushSTL, expressed the significance of Downtown St. Louis as a vibrant hub for music and entertainment, stating, “Downtown St. Louis is the central hub of music, culinary delights, and enjoyment for St. Louis. We’ve crafted an unparalleled experience for the community to come together as we launch into the summer season.”

Kurt Weigle, Chief Downtown Officer for Greater St. Louis, Inc., highlighted the unique charm of City Social in celebrating the essence of Downtown St. Louis. Weigle mentioned, “City Social is the perfect way to kick off summer in Downtown St. Louis. Washington Avenue is one of St. Louis’ most historic and iconic streets, and City Social brings it to life with St. Louis music, food, and fun.”

City Social will feature a lineup of entertainment including DJ Nico, DJ Merf, Dirty Muggs, Kode Redd, and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of food and drinks from local vendors such as Sugarfire, Levels Nigerian Cuisine, Blondie’s, and Pour Decisions, among others.

The event, sponsored by Greater St. Louis, Inc. and the City of St. Louis, in collaboration with the Office of the Treasurer, aims to enhance vibrancy in Downtown St. Louis, support local businesses, and attract foot traffic to the area. Additional initiatives like Lunchtime Live will be announced to further engage the community throughout the summer season.
