The City of Harrisonville announced on April 27 that it will hold an emergency brush drop off event following severe storms that occurred on Sunday, April 26, and Monday, April 27.

The city said the event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 1 and May 2. The purpose is to allow residents to dispose of limbs and brush resulting from the recent storms.

According to the announcement, the emergency drop off will follow the same procedures as previous spring and fall events. Residents are instructed to drive to City Park at Bradley Avenue and Ash Street, where signs will direct them to the proper location.

Crews will be present at the site to assist with unloading trailers. All limbs must be less than ten inches in diameter, and only those living within city limits may participate in this service. The city also reminded residents that yard waste other than storm debris will not be accepted, and contractors are not permitted to use this service.

This initiative aims to help residents clear storm-related debris quickly while maintaining safety standards for disposal.
