Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced that a St. Louis County grand jury has indicted Megan Price and Scott Price, owners of Signature Bridal in Chesterfield, on 22 counts of Deceptive Business Practices. The charges stem from an investigation into the bridal shop’s operations throughout 2024.
According to the indictment, Signature Bridal accepted down payments or full payments for wedding dresses with promises of delivery within a few months. The Attorney General’s office found that in many cases, the store did not order the dresses from manufacturers, leaving numerous brides without gowns when the shop closed abruptly in late 2024.
“My Office will always take action to protect Missouri consumers, especially when bad actors prey on families during some of the most important moments of their lives,” said Attorney General Bailey. “This indictment sends a clear message: business owners who defraud Missourians will be held accountable.”
The Attorney General encourages anyone who believes they have been defrauded by Signature Bridal or another Missouri business to contact the Consumer Protection Unit at 800-392-8222 or file a complaint online at ago.mo.gov.
Attorney General Bailey also reminded the public that charges against Megan and Scott Price are allegations and that both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
