The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Leadership Program announced on May 4 a series of upcoming events, information sessions, and application deadlines for the coming months. The program is inviting local non-profits to apply for the Apex 2026-2027 Legacy Project, with applications due by Friday, May 8.

The Centurions Leadership Program is designed as a two-year initiative focused on building community awareness through civic engagement and addressing issues that affect Greater Kansas City. The goal is to prepare emerging leaders from across the region to help shape its future.

Several information sessions are scheduled for interested professionals who want to learn more about the program. These include sessions on Thursday, May 7 at Build Wyco from 9:00-10:00 a.m., where attendees can register in advance. There will also be an Application Workshop and Q&A available for those seeking guidance on the application process.

Additional events planned by the Centurions include “Grounds for Reconnection” on Wednesday, May 20, which offers alumni and current members an opportunity to network over coffee. Another session titled “From Conflict to Collaboration” led by Haley Grayless will take place on Thursday, May 28. This event aims to equip participants with strategies for addressing conflict within teams.

Other highlights include social gatherings such as the Apex Social at T-Shotz on Wednesday, May 6; panel discussions like “Bridging the Gap: Local Action for Long-Term Impact” set for Tuesday, May 26; and a Second-Year Executive Breakfast scheduled for Wednesday, June 17. Alumni are also invited to attend an annual meeting at Starlight Theatre on Thursday, July 23 where they will recap recent accomplishments and vote on board positions.

These activities reflect ongoing efforts by the Chamber’s Centurions program to foster leadership development and strengthen connections among professionals committed to improving Kansas City.
