The Central Missouri Mules Golf team finished in second place at the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Men’s Golf Championship on April 15 at Jefferson City Country Club. The team, ranked No. 30, completed the tournament with a total score of 874 after shooting a final round of seven-under par for an overall score of ten-over.

This result highlights the team’s strong performance during the championship and sets them up for further postseason competition. Freshman Kale Flinton tied for third place individually after recording four consecutive birdies and finishing five-under in his final round, moving up eleven places to finish with a total score of 216.

Brooks Baldwin finished eleventh overall with a total score of 220, going two-over in his last round and carding three birdies. CJ Phillips was close behind, tying for twelfth place with a tournament total of 221 and achieving one-under on the back nine thanks to four birdies. Lawson Barks tied for sixteenth after scoring one birdie on hole fifteen and ending with a combined score of 223.

Andrew Whittaker substituted for Jack Hope during the event, contributing to the team’s overall tally by going two under par in his round with five birdies; however, this did not count toward individual standings.

Looking ahead, the Mules are set to compete in the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Super Regional from May 7-9 at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Michigan.
