Cori Bush, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 1st district, has recently shared a series of tweets addressing legislative priorities and operational updates from her office. These communications reflect her ongoing engagement with policy issues and constituents as she approaches the end of her current term.

On November 18, 2024, Bush emphasized the importance of legislative action regarding rent control by stating: “Congress must extend and expand #RECANow.” This tweet underscores her advocacy for expanding rental assistance programs.

The following day, on November 19, 2024, Bush announced changes within her congressional offices. She stated: “As part of our transition, we are closing our St. Louis and D.C. offices. Our team is still here to help and will continue assisting our constituents until the end of this Congress.” She reassured constituents that assistance would remain available through other means despite these closures.

Later on November 19, Bush addressed reproductive rights in another tweet: “In Utah, Pennsylvania, and New Mexico, state-level ERAs have helped block restrictions on abortion care. Now, imagine what a national ERA could do to protect reproductive rights.” She called upon President Biden to instruct the United States Archivist to certify and publish the Equal Rights Amendment (#ERANow).
