Anheuser-Busch announced on April 22 that it will increase its investment in U.S. operations to $600 million over the next two years, aiming to create and sustain American manufacturing jobs, expand workforce training, and strengthen career opportunities for veterans.

The company said this expanded commitment is part of its ongoing effort to support American manufacturing, develop future talent, and contribute to local communities. The initiative includes new investments across three main areas: job creation through operational upgrades, opening technical skills training centers nationwide, and expanding veteran hiring programs.

Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch said: “Anheuser-Busch’s $600 million investment is a testament to our unwavering commitment to the future of American manufacturing. By strengthening our manufacturing operations, we are creating sustainable – not just jobs – and investing in the people who are vital to our success. We are proud to continue building the next generation of manufacturing leaders through our new technical training centers while also providing new opportunities in the workforce for our nation’s veterans.”

Jay Timmons, President and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers said: “Anheuser-Busch’s expanded investment is a commitment to the American worker and the future of our nation’s strength in manufacturing. By partnering with the Manufacturing Institute, Anheuser-Busch is powering a new generation of opportunity for the world’s finest workforce—the manufacturing workforce. These local technical skills training centers and partnerships with trade schools will transform careers and enable the manufacturing workforce of today and tomorrow to develop the critical skills they need to build life-changing careers, grow our economy and shape American communities.”

The company plans campus upgrades that will enhance technology systems as well as production capabilities for leading brands such as Michelob ULTRA. According to the official website, Anheuser-Busch employs thousands nationwide across multiple breweries—including its flagship St. Louis facility—and has played a significant role in community engagement through job creation initiatives.

To address skill gaps in local communities, Anheuser-Busch will open 15 new technical skills training centers at facilities across America while working closely with trade schools on curriculum development. The company aims to upskill more than 90% of its current manufacturing workforce within five years.

Efforts also include supporting veterans by adopting credentials that translate military experience into relevant industry qualifications; nearly one quarter of SmartResumes completed on their platform have come from veteran candidates seeking roles at Anheuser-Busch.

Eberhard Anheuser acquired his first brewery in 1860 before partnering with Adolphus Busch—a founder from Germany—to help establish what would become a key player in brewing history according to company records. The firm has since prioritized innovation such as artificial refrigeration for beer distribution nationally as noted by their website.

Broader impacts include fostering community well-being through disaster relief efforts and supporting sustainable practices according to corporate information. Looking ahead, Anheuser-Busch says these investments represent an evolution toward strengthening American industry for generations.
